Multi award-winning Cotswold caterers Ross & Ross Food has cemented its leading reputation after receiving the Best Wedding Caterer Award 2018 in The UK Wedding Awards.

Offering a bespoke service that encompasses everything from festival-style barbecues and decadent feasts to exquisite canapés and decadent desserts, Ross & Ross Food serves amazing cuisine that complements each couple’s wedding theme.

Discussing what’s most popular on the menu, its dedication to using seasonal, Cotswold produce, and dream catering jobs, Ross & Ross Food talks to SoGlosWeddings.

Congratulations on winning the ‘Best Wedding Caterer Award’! How does it feel to have had such success with your wedding offering?

Thank you! It is really humbling to have been voted as the Best Wedding Caterer. It’s always nice to know that your hard work has paid off, and that all clients have been completely happy with their weddings.

What can couples expect when booking Ross & Ross for their wedding?

A bespoke service. We pride ourselves on creating menus and packages that are tailored to each couple’s individual needs. We help with menu recommendations, sourcing weird and wonderful tableware, and making sure that all elements of their day run smoothly.

What types of cuisine do you offer?

We focus on laid back, locally-sourced and traditionally British food, but we have been asked to create lots of different dishes in the past. A popular request is for Italian-inspired food, and we have also done some Indian weddings as well.

How do you work with couples to create bespoke menus?

We meet with the client so the chef can get a good feel for the type of cuisine they are after. The chef then creates a number of different options for them to choose from, and of course taste at a tasting session, until we have the perfect menu nailed down for them.

Is there anything on your menu that’s particularly popular?

We do find our slow cooked lamb and beef options are very popular. They work well for both summer and winter weddings, and eliminate the difficulty of how each person likes their meat cooked. We are also very well known for our scotch egg canapés – we always get lots of compliments on these!

How do you ensure you create menus that use seasonal and well-sourced products?

We are very lucky to be surrounded by many wonderful producers in the Cotswolds. We work closely with those producers to find out what is best in season to ensure we are only putting the freshest food on our tables.

And finally, is there a dream wedding you’d like to cater for?

Well there is a certain big wedding coming up in May that would be incredible to cater for! We’ve catered for lots of different weddings, and at the end of the day as long as the bride and groom are happy and the guests are having a great time, then that is a dream wedding for us.
