The first place in Cheltenham dedicated to purely plant-based, whole, and seasonal foods, Vinnie’s Eatery opened to the delight of health food fanatics, serving up wholesome food alongside home-made fizzy drinks, cold-press juices and even alkaline water on tap!

Dishes sure to get your stomach growling include buckwheat pancakes with maple syrup, fresh berries and coconut yoghurt; bean and vegetable burger with sauerkraut, homemade ketchup and paprika parsnip chips; and raw cacao and maple syrup brownie for a sumptuous sweet treat.


2. Kindness & Co


A health food café located in the centre of Cheltenham, Kindness & Co believes diet and nutrition are at the centre of a healthy and happy life, with its ever-changing menu, which use only wholesome and natural ingredients, reflecting its ethos perfectly.

Whether you’re craving a comforting bowl of porridge, a refreshing salad, or warming hot dish, delights such as turmeric-roasted cauliflower; chickpea tagine; sweetcorn fritters; and banana oat cakes have appeared on the menu, which can be washed down with a smoothie or turmeric latte.


3. Star Anise Arts Café


Serving food inspired by macrobiotic and wholefood cuisine, Star Anise Café in Stroud is sure to delight health food connoisseurs with its innovative menu, that uses organic ingredients and supports local businesses wherever possible.

Dishes on the sample menu include vegetable miso broth with shitake mushrooms and ginger; and superfood salad with quinoa, black rice, kale, roasted butternut, blood orange, pomegranate and a tahini and white miso dressing. Diners can also enjoy a selection of breads, pastries and cakes that are made on-site daily.


4. Daylesford Organic Café


A haven for healthy foodies, Daylesford Organic Café near Kingham takes advantage of its countryside location, cooking up delicious dishes with fruit, vegetables and herbs grown in its market garden, and offering a menu that boasts plenty of fresh and nutritious meals.

Drinks include cold-pressed juices, smoothies, ‘shots’ and kefir. Meanwhile food options encompass Super Charged Mornings, a range of nutrient-dense breakfasts; and main meals prepared with the best seasonal ingredients from the farm, featuring everything from bone broth to buckwheat groats.


5. Coach House Coffee


A stylish café in Stow-on-the-Wold, Coach House Coffee serves up plenty of treats for health-conscious guests, offering everything from cold pressed juice and turmeric lattes, to energy balls.

What’s more, with the café stocking a range of health foods such as Rude Health milks and cereals, Pip & Nut butters, crackers, healthy crisps and more, there’s the chance to snap up guilt-free snacks to take home too!


6. Guru Coffee House


Guru Coffee House in Gloucester prides itself on serving quality food and drink, made with fresh ingredients and without any added sugar. What’s more, with a menu designed around its passion for a healthy lifestyle, the eatery is perfect for health conscious diners.

The menu is split into numerous sections including breakfast, grill, low carb, healthy bowl foods, sandwiches, and salads; not forgetting the tempting pancakes, waffles and desserts, which offer all of the sweetness without the guilt.


7. The Organic Farm Shop


The Organic Farm Shop’s award-winning café in Cirencester is inspired by the 10-acre vegetable garden that surrounds it, something reflected on its healthy and organic menu, which is bursting with nutritious dishes including salads, soups, curries, bakes, tarts, and much more.

Dishes change daily, but visitors can expect a varied menu which features child-friendly food in addition to organic wines, ciders and local beers, whilst a selection of eco, organic and environmentally friendly magazines are there for diners’ browsing pleasure.


8. Woodruffs Organic Café


Britain’s first totally organic café, Woodruffs in Stroud is dedicated to using seasonal produce and whole foods in its dishes, flying the flag for independents by championing local suppliers.

Taking care to cater to dietary requirements, the menu encompasses everything from light breakfasts and smoothies, to main meals and vegetable juices. Whether you’re craving a warming bowl of porridge, a spicy bean burger, or selection of tapas, there are plenty of healthy dishes to tuck into.

For freshly pressed juices and blended smoothies, Applebar in Cheltenham is sure to suffice, offering a wide range of fruit, vegetable and superfood combinations, with ingredients including raw cacao, avocado, coconut milk, ginger and raw honey on the impressive menu.
